APPLICATIONS FOR SMALL BUSINESS PAYCHECK PROTECTION PROGRAM OPEN APRIL 3
Small businesses and sole proprietorships affected by the coronavirus pandemic can apply for loans under the federal Paycheck Protection Program (PPP).
Starting April 10, independent contractors and self-employed individuals can apply.
Duties & Services
Financial Management Support Services
Financial management support services include:
- Cash collections and depository activities
- The handling of connection and disconnection requests for utilities
- The investment of all City funds
- The resolution of credit and collection problems
- Responding to customer inquiries
Accounting Support Services
Accounting support services include:
- Accounts payable
- Accounts receivable
- General ledger maintenance
- Payroll and financial records keeping
- Reporting and analysis
Accounting personnel also maintain perpetual inventory records for all city owned fixed assets.
Financial Services
The Financial Services department also has key responsibility in generating the Preliminary and Final City Operating Budget, and in preparing the Annual Financial Report for the City. Other financial related reports are issued for management decision making and for external reporting purposes.
