NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held by the Aberdeen City Council in the Council Chambers on the third floor of Aberdeen City Hall, 200 East Market Street, Aberdeen, Washington, 98520 on May 29, 2019 during the Council’s normal business meeting which begins at 7:15 PM.

The purpose of the public hearing is to review community development and housing needs, inform citizens of the availability of funds and eligible uses of the State Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), and receive comments on proposed activities, particularly from lower income persons and people residing along the Wishkah River and in South Aberdeen. The proposed activities include upgrades to wastewater pumping stations in those areas to improve the reliability of those stations.

Up to $750,000 may be available to the City on a statewide competitive basis to fund public facility, community facility, economic development, planning, and affordable housing projects that principally benefit low- and moderate-income persons.

An outline of the proposed pump station improvements project will be available for review at City Hall beginning May 15, 2019, and information will be posted on the City’s website at as well. Comments may also be submitted in writing to the City through May 31, 2019.
