Any needs that can not be met electronically can be addressed in person by appointment only.

Who Are We & What Do We Do
The Community Development Department is comprised of 4 divisions:
- Building Division-The Building Division provides inspections and plan review for all building related needs: Electrical, mechanical, plumbing and structural, process permits. The Building Division is also responsible for the administration of the City's Floodplain program.
- Code Compliance Division-The Code Compliance Division is responsible for the enforcement of Nuisance Code and the processing of complaints.
- Planning Division-The Planning Division is responsible for the implementation and updating of the Comprehensive Land Use Plan, developing new planning programs, the administration of the zoning code and administration of the environmental regulations.
- Property Maintenance Division-The Property Maintenance Division is responsible for the administration of the City's Rental Residential Licensing and Inspection Program (RRIP).
As a team, we are responsible for efforts to support business development while enhancing the quality of life in the community. We are always working to streamline review and permitting processes so that we can reduce our approval time to help expedite quality developments.
